I really wanted to see this S/C on an engine with 731 cam and big valve heads.
The rear hood cut out hole for the throttle linkage would not be there in a manual 5 speed XJ. The throttle mechanism on the manual can be shorter as it doesn't need the 'arm' sticking up for the for the trans valve body control cable(it isn't a downshift cable).
Tested some more with boost gauge and meth. Runs great, pulls strong, saw 7 pounds boost, IAT's 125-140* WOT and cools back down below 100* when out of boost.
I think all my M62s are the large inlet opening. I will have to look and measure today.
To get the tight hood cutout, I did modify the rear of the S/C with the angle grinder and cut off 2 lumps/mounting bosses and the big square lump and the removed the unused 'vacuum tree' on the other side of the square lump and tapped and blocked off the holes.

Here is the difference between the early gen inlet on the right (the one I have had up until now) vs the latest gen inlet on the left. Got the later gen mounted tonight. Can't get very far into boost until I burn off the low octane gas and get some premium. So far I have noticed boost starts at 26%, it used to start at 30%, more noise, hotter case temp, both probably due to the tighter tolerances. Will post more results later.

You could use the mounting point on the right side rear as shown in the images, the old style has a higher mounting point vs the newest style has a lower mounting point on that rear right corner.

You guys can PM me for any corrections and additions.
I was trying to be very generic and only informative.
You can click on my sig 'RaceJeep' or 'M62 S/C' to get there.

M62 updates
A new project, hope to get it installed and start testing early December. It should fit under the stock hood without any modifications other than a remote mount power steering reservoir.
