Obviously youve never wheeled with an 8.8 although you want to make yourself sound like it

the disc brakes will keep the axle from popping out if you break a c clip axle. and if the clip pops out your junk isnt put together right. i drove out of aftershock at the hammers and about 4 miles back to camp with a broken c clip axle and it never fell out because the rotor is between the caliper which is bolted to the axle thus holding it in.

BUT there is a reason im looking for a 9 inch, just go with a 9 inch in the beginning. all the axles are close to the same to build they all cost a lot.
