Default Internal Voltage Regulator conversion

Have any of y'all seen or heard of this conversion..

https://www.aspwholesale.com/regulator-conversion-nd-p8416.html

It makes the externally regulated alternator internally regulated. Basically like a GM alternator.. it says NOT for Chrysler Vehicles with Electronic Fuel Injection, but I don't understand that statement and why it would affect anything.. I contacted the company and they said it would work with my 1996 Cherokee Sport 4.0L alternator.. I have done the external voltage regulator conversion and I'm getting high voltage output with flickering interior and exterior lights accompanied with surging alternator sound.. it has new AGM battery and alternator.. The external voltage regulator conversion with voltmeter is charging between 14.80 and 16.03 erratic.. I can turn on all loads a/c blower motor on high and headlights on high beam and it calms it down to a normal reading of 14v.. I ordered the internal regulator and will try it because right now I'm a a loss of what to do.. other than buying a new ECM thanks in advance

Hmmm. Why did you do it in the first place? Was there a problem you were trying to solve?

The voltage regulator in the computer went out and would not charge, I didn't want to replace the computer. I have checked and serviced all grounds and have checked all connections.. the external voltage regulator conversion worked fine for about a month and then it started doing the erattic charging so I replaced the voltage regulator again under warranty it would work fine if I had the power supply connected to a hot all the time power but if it was connected to an hot ignition on only source via the fuse panel under the dash it would charge erratic. So I connected it to a hot all the time power source and put a toggle switch on it so I could turn power off manually to the voltage regulator, to not run down the battery. Then it started the erratic charging again. I can read wiring diagrams and I just don't understand it.. I love Jeeps but am a Chevrolet guy by heart and have never had these charging issues on any of the many Chevy's. That's why I was wanting to internally regulate voltage in the alternator.
