I installed the Pro Comp 3" kit with the 9000series shocks. Nothing fancy but a functional ride. And simple.
DON'T waste your time with add a leafs. Essentially all your doing is adding one more leaf to an already FAILED rear leaf pack from the factory. Buy a set of COMPLETE spring packs for the desired height your after and you'll only do it once.
Put the same manufactures kit on an '89 Grand Wagoneer(with complete spring packs) and man-o-man that was an improvement.

If you order this kit be ready to wait.
Parts are in the mail. Rocky road 4" trailblazer, comes with OME springs, poly spacers, shackles and blocks, adjustable track bar, bushings and rear brake lines. I opted for the additional cost rancho 9000xl adjustable shocks, quick disconnect anti-sway bar links and fixed length lower control arms. I admit it was pricey, but if it is what it says it is its worth it. The guy says it's gonna take a few weeks to ship, I'll report back how it works out for me>

What about Rusty's Offroad? Are they not on the list for a reason? I am seriously considering running thier 4.5 system in the very near future... I was at wheelin in the country over new years and saw more Rusty's stuff than almost anything else... Just think that they are a worthy competitor and should be added to the list!!!

Hey how do you like the iron rock offroad lift kit? Is it still working well for you? I saw that you liked it and looked into it and am thinking about the 5.5" long arm one. How does it compare to rubicon express? How does it flex? Thanks for answering any of my questions!

I cant wait to get out of here (probably be in PA next year) where there are some rocky trails. If you go with IRO, def get the JKS quick discos and some decent shocks (all available when you buy). Mine rides sooo much better now that I ditched the skyjackers I decided to cheaply get on Ebay. Their customer service is great... the have had to next-day-air me a few brake lines (their new ones are much better... old ones were just braided, these are braided and coated... havent had a problem with them)
EDIT and yes I plan on getting the quick discos as well

Ya installation was not bad. I recomend soaking all the bolts you have to take out in PB blaster or something similar (no matter what company you get). I had to grind the leaf-spring bolts off lol. I just followed their instructions and had no problems! The Blisten shocks are great! (buddies run them). With 33's, you will have alot of flex... when I first had it, I had 34x10 super-swamper LTBS and had no rubbing or anything even without trimming.

Just read through the thread great stuff!
Had a question of my own.
I plan on running 35x12.5 with mostly mudding in mind but will be hitting some trails too.
So I was looking into the BDS 6.5" the RE 7.5" and am just starting to look into the IRO 6.5" all LA btw. My problem is I want the best strength for the money. And looks like RE and BDS have a lifetime warranty, which will replace any broken part no ?'s asked. Not sure about IRO.
I most likely will have it installed by a local shop because I don't have the tools to do it myself. So I need the extra cash for instal.
If anyone has had experience with these lifts and could point me in a some sorta direction it be greatly appreciated!!

Whoops looks like your original message changed! But that sounds great. Knowing I can do it myself and it's a lot more inexpensive moves it up on the list.
What would u recommend for SYE and drive shafts? DS upgrade needed? Or does the SYE take care of that? Thanks!!

Yea I did everything myself haha... gears/lockers were the biggest pain for me. It shouldn't be much harder than your 3"... only difference is adding the new sub-frame and mounting the LA on it. I don't have any recommendation for brake lines... IRO's old ones (when I bought the lift) were just braided lines and they would rust and break/ catch on stuff real easy... the new ones are still braided but they are coated in rubber. Have not had a problem with them at all.
