Super easy to fab brackets out of blocks of hardwood . Hard wood is much stronger and safe than pine and fir.

The seats I had were electric, but very broken so I couldn't reuse the bases, and I don't have a welder, or any fabrication skills. I talked to a local shop to fab me up something and it was cheaper to get the corbeau seats. if I had a welder, and time I probably could have worked something up, but in the end I went easy.

Was joking about the wood blocks. Don't attempt that seats will become detached in a accident

I just finished swapping some 04 WJ seats into my 97, super easy direct bolt in to the factory tracks. Paid $16 ea from the jy and found 6 bucks in change in one, hahaha

I would be interested in seeing the brackets you guys came up with on the manual slider seats. I'll be swapping in some offroad suspension seat into mine soon.

I swapped in some ZJ seats, I can’t remember what year they’re from though. Bolted right in.

I put 2 door xj seats in my 4 door xj. got the tilt forward feature now, this makes it easy to reach stuff in the back from front door and gains me space for sleeping inside the back, I removed rear seat and replaced with a plywood platform. with the front seat tilted forward, I now have enough space to sleep in back. the rear seat delete also gives me more storage space, and since the platform is hinged in the stock seat back hinge points, and I can latch it closed, so heavy items are kept secure under the platform.

I kinda did something like that.
I noticed that a TJ hinge with the little lever to lean the seat forward looked a real lot like a XJ one.
Found a cheap one on Ebay to play with and tried it out.
I just did it on the passenger side. Lets me lean the seat forward a little more in case I want to put something longer in the Jeep.
And am to lazy to strap it to the roof. LOL.

Hinged cargo deck instead of a rear seat was a factory option for XJ's sold in France.

Bolted right in.
The only thing I had to do was pierce a hole in the back of the seat cover for the lever.

So I have a manual seat xj. I just found a set of wj electric seats. Do I have to have electric xj frames in order to make these work?

thanks

Picked up a set of 06 Tiburon seats this afternoon. Going to tinker this weekend to see how I can get them installed.
