I was looking at the ironrock 6.5" actually. Does it ride pretty good on the road? i saw the flex photos. Very nice articulation!
Rubicon Express Inc. Yes! It is the RE6307; it is not listed in the catalog... This is the kit that the Rubicon Express XJ runs.

The lift handles great on the road. Im upgrading to 35's. have the D30 in the front and ford 8.8 rear. went with 4:88 gears and the elocker. The hack n slap is an inexpensive way to go and have great luck with it so far.

I'm thinking of going with Iron Rock Longarm 6.5" kit. Has anyone gotten the ACOS Pro from JKSmfg.com? What IF I were to do both of these together... Is that too much? What about Air Ride as a lift option.

I'm not saying both wouldn't work together, but It seems like a waste to me. $900 for a pair is crazy. For $100 extra you can get the ironrock offroad 8" lift, $30 can get 2" coil spring spacers, and for $50 more blocks in the rear. Bumpstops aren't expensive either. For half the price of the ACOS setup you could be at the same height with good bumpstops not worrying if it will come out of adjustment. That's just my 2 cents though. As for air ride as a lift option (just my opinion again), would be pointless. Air ride system's aren't designed for flex, they are designed for carrying heavy loads, being able to raise and lower height of a vehicle, or just making it a more comfortable ride. Again just my 2 cents.

when i put mine on my jeep only had 20k on it and with a throttle body spacer, 4.10 gears, borla exhaust, spectre air filter, amsoil everywhere there is fluid and new plugs, i got 22/24 mpg driving from montana to louisiana. Now that my exhaust is beat up and falling off (o2 sensor is going off) and oil needs changed, im getting like 15...

That's not bad at all. That's the same as stock mileage almost.

You know I've been hanging a 60/14 combo on a Rusty's LA kit running 38x12.50 and now 39.5 x18.00 boggers ...it's an old kit back when he used big thread on the arms ,and newer kits are better ...I'm just throwing that out there b/c i've yet to break his arms/crossmember .Also his springs/coils are made by the same manufacturer as the other guys like RE ,which is why I chuckled when 4wheelparts employee told me he broke Rusty's coils and they were crap ,but RE coils were the tops...meanwhile my XJ was sitting next to his and ,well if I'm not breaking his stuff with ease ...no way his XJ is either . Just tossing that info 2 you b/c Rusty's was cheaper than RE .

Yeah I like Rusty's products. RE you really pay for the name more than anything.

you also have to look at spring rate in the kit you want. here is a good article:

Ok well i've never worried about spring rate on a 4x4 before, but I want to do this setup right. What is an ideal spring rate?

Also thanks to everyone for all the input so far. Really appreciate it.

where spring rate really comes into play is for winch bumpers, skid plates, bigger motor swap. things like that if you are on a stock front end 150-170 is about right if you have a winch or skid plates 180+ depending on how heavy everything is
