Lift install times?

short arm shouldnt take too long if nothing goes wrong, especially if theyre non adjustable. my rears took me about 2-3 hrs, working by myself. front, still working on a week later (took 12 or so working alone to get it driveable). Everyone has small problems, mine was the brake lines refusing to seal up and hours of difficulties getting the jam nuts on my long arms to loosen up (ended up using a big adjustable wrench and a ratchet strap plus me leg pressing from against the wall on one side, jacking my jeep up on the end of the wrench from the other side)

took me a solid 4 days for a straight forward 3.5". biggest issue was frozen bolts. had to run out for parts and tools (sawzall, grinder and cut off wheel), and ended up having to cut old springs off, then into the eyelets and finally the bolts on the rear springs. yeah, 4 days on your back sucks. then i had to take it to a shop to get broken rear shock bolts taken care of. make sure to have plently of beers/cigs on hand for breaks and sanity checks. I bet i could do it in half the time though if i had to do it again.

I will be regearing at some point when the money comes along. 29 spline 8.25 LSD in the rear an hp30 up front. I don't drive on the highway much an have a very short drive to work so it'll be ok for a few months. I've run 35s on stock axles many times an u can still wheel them just fine. Just takes an amount of technique an less skinny pedal. Ok who wants to jump on me for running stock axles. I've already had it out about this once this week on another thread lol.

well, i guess i cant complain then...
1987 with mostly original everything, including shocks when i went to replace it
took me 12 hours, in my driveway in front of the garage, and only cracked 1 nail
8 hours (front)
Had to stop and go borrow tools that i didnt have, 1/2 way thru.
Some of the bolts were different sizes than the rest
I think they were like a size 21+ and my tools only went to 20
4 hours (rear) the next day
i used 2 jack stands, 1 floor jack, cheater bar, pb blaster the day of, spring compressor, hydraulic press (for pushing the pumpkin back in place), (1) 12 pack between the 2 days
im sure with a 2nd person, i could of probably got it done in 1/2 the time
was totally worth it...
g/f and i took it for a drive that night and found a place to park it and make use of the lift that no one could see into with a car

Took me 3 1/2 hours to put in RC 3" kit. That includes dealing with busted rear shock bolts(3 out of 4) and seized shackle bolts. I also did front and rear brake lines in that time. Mind you I am a mechanic and did it at my shop so that might be cheating.
