Lift kit = What size wheel /Tire?
I have 2000 Cherokee Sport with Rubicon Express 4.5" short arm super flex. D30 front Chrysler 8.25 rear and np231 transfer w/Sye. I want to know what size tires I could fit under it with what size rims? What back spacing should I order with rims? Do you recommend wheel spacers or not? I like look of wider stance but this is primarily a daily driver. Pros vs Cons? I do plan to add fender flares down the road, what if I just remove stock flares?

yo unleashed it's his first post here. how about a nice welcome to our forum
as far as tires go you should fit 33's just fine. 4" backspace. dont use wheel spacers just buy proper wheels
wider taller tires = better off road
thinner tires = slightly better fuel economy but you sacrifice some footprint
the main thing that affects fuel economy is gear ratio. if you have stock gears and 32's you're getting horrible economy no matter what

Thanks for all the answers. First time posting to this forum and first time Jeep owner, first off road capable vehicle with lift kit. Apologize for asking questions that have been asked elsewhere but this search engine didn't pull up any results. The link with photos helps but doesn't state what backspacing is being used with each or if different axles used or wheel spacers.
Trying to research different options to not loose fuel economy but still running larger wheels and tires. Changing gearing ratio's for the Chrysler 8.25? Replacing fuel injectors? Computer remapping chip? Cold air intake? Any suggestions?
Just being honest with you guys. I know 90% of time is going to be daily driven on highway. I totally respect the trail rigs you guys build and love to read about tips to make these bullet proof. I'm willing to give up a little trail worthiness, power to get fuel economy.

Letting the Jeep breathe better with an intake, better spray with 703 and 784 injectors, bored throttle body, and freeing up the exhaust with wider components will definitely help your mpg and performance. Chips and tb spacers don't do much. If it's going to be a 90% highway vehicle I wouldn't mess around with gearing if you're going to run 32's. 33's you may want to think about 4.10 gears up to you.

Old post, but I wanted to say that it is posts like this that turn up with a Google search that breath life into my dream! I have a 98 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4 4.0 that I want to finally lift and put bigger tires on, and posts like this and its replies is an invaluable source of great information! I would not have posted, but I saw the slap at the beginning for not searching before posting and had to say THANK YOU to the OP for creating this thread for others to find. Even if it is much later. lol
And I apologize if I blew it with posting on such an old thread. There is some awesome information here and I for one am thankful!!!
