Default Lift Newbie. Need suggestions!

hey all,
i apologize in advance if this is a repeat thread. i have looked everywhere for opinions on several kits i'm looking at, with no luck...

i am debating between a 3" lift kit from Zone seen here... (but other suggestions are welcome!)
http://zoneoffroad.com/product?ki=436&gr=-1#no_op

or simply doing a 2" BB kit (which there seem to be multiple, so suggestions on best one would be helpful)

now... i am trying to decide if the extra 400 bones for the 3" zone is worth it, and moreover, what hidden costs i might be facing... such as, if i go with 3" i am likely to need a transfer case drop (spacers ~$40), but what else? i am planning on adding a sterring stabilizer regardless, but are there any other parts i will need to replace vs an relatively easy 2" lift?

i will add that this is a DD, and i want to maintain the easy steering and ride. but on the other hand, my stock leaf springs are just about the only bit rusted up on my XJ (and sag a bit) and would love to replace them.

opinions? thanks guys!

i say get the zone lift i just got it and love it it rides great and does even better offroad plus. It flexes great for just coils and an aal that i got the transfer case drop stopped all the vibrations i was having and you are going to want extended sway bar links or disconnects because they will get caught up in you coils

First off whats your budget? 2nd Go with the zone kit over the cheap BB. If you have a decent budget I may can recommend a better kit.

i have a decent budget, so i was considering just going all the way, so i wont regret it, and getting OME. i have heard it will improve upon the stock suspension, and is ideal for a DD that will do some off roading. i am not doing anything extreme, just rough trails for extended periods to get to trailheads, and want it to perform well on road.

i wanted to go with their 2" lift kit, but all i can find is their 1.5"... is there a dealer i could call to talk to and make sure i'm getting everything i need? i found a dealer in KS that seemed legit, but cant find them again...

would people recommend the heavy duty leafs, or medium? i will be loading gear in the trunk, people in back seat when off roading...

yes! thank you for the link, that is who i was looking for. i gave them a call to talk, but they're out... debating doing less of a lift for a bit cheaper, but the 3" you linked seems complete. wont i need spacers for a Tcase drop though?
hmmm, might pull the trigger on either a 2" or 3" tomorrow...

If this is a DD, then go with a 3" lift kit. If you are on a tight budget check out Iron Rock offroad, Rough country, rustys, or zone offroad. These are basic low budget kits.

i dunno, im kinda set on the OME system... pricier, but sounds like the real deal. this is going to be a lifer jeep, so the investment seems worth it.
i hope to talk to the dealers linked above and see if the 2" or 3" is best for me.

I have the 3" rough country AAL kit with 31's no regrets and no other alterations or expenses needed, pleased with it.
