Full spool will definitely be stronger, mini-spool will not. If anything a mini-spool would be weaker just cause they have slop in them that gets looser and looser over time till they fail, welded spiders wont have that slop. That being said welded spiders will only be as strong as the welder (person), the welder (machine), and the prep to make sure they are spotless clean.

If the guy welding the spiders knows what he is doing then strength is a moot point. weld the spiders to eachother, then to the carrier. I like making 2 or 3 passes when i do it.
