Right now I'm on 33's with a two inch lift. Can drive fine without any rubbing after some cutting and pounding haha, but flex out pretty quick, going to need some bigger shocks and bump stocks for sure. Any questions let me know!

3 inch lift 31 inch tires.
As I have read some of these posts i think I should be able to run 31s on a 3 inch lift , is that correct? When I bought my 99 it had fairly new 30s on it with a zone 3 inch lift. There was some new longer bump stops in a tub of parts that came with the deal. I have stock rims but the spare is a d hole and I thought I might buy a set of 4 rims in the d hole pattern . I will do some off roading . Not much time do to what I like. I would love to build a rock crawler. But not in the picture yet. Will be mostly a DD with some tent trailer camping and easy trails. Thanks.
The bump stops i have.
Guess i should have mentioned i do not want to do any cutting yet.

This is my 96, i ran 31s with no lift for a while, as of now its got a junkyard lift, about 3.5" up front, and 4" in the rear. I got 31s cause i ran 31s on my 98 with about 3inches of lift, except last time i never did the cut and fold, and this time i did. Now it looks like i got 5inches of lift all around and my 31s are small. not really wanting to go much higher. im trying to decide of 33 or 35s. after looking at some of the other LCG rigs. i think i might go with 35s. i still need some shackle relocation boxes in the rear cause of shackle angle. i hope they don't lift it much in the rear, i might run a 1 in spacer up front when i get my new winch on. as it will add another 100+ lbs or so to the front.

These pickup shocks are kyb monomax and definitely valved stiffer than cheap jeep shocks. Fairly simple bolt on with minor welding.
With winch bumper rear bumper and 2x8x3/16 sliders its sitting at about 1.5\" of lift. Factory 89 Cherokee front bump stoos work just about perfect. Monomax shocks feel pretty good at higher speeds and much more stable going slow.
Notice bumpstop and shock bottom out length are the same. I do think i need to extend bumpstop about a 1/2\" to hit slighty before shock bottoms
Dodge pickup shocks 94-2002 . Work well on my 89 with reworked lower mount and 3\" coils

Any updates from anyone here? Planning on cutting the rear wheel well following Notch Custom's instructions, the cut and fold even hammered still touches the tires at the rear quarter panel fold.

I'm just living with the rears rubbing fully compressed.
haven't yet cut them out to my rear tube fenders
Still kn short arms and 33s 35s will fit theyl just rub my inner fender slightly sooner.
1.5-2" of lift . Front fenders make it look tall.

New to an old thread and not thrilled about reading the full 32 pages... been away for awhile.
Question: I'm considering adding control arm drop brackets (CAD) to my 3.5" OME short arm. CAD manufacturers generally recommend minimum 4.5" lift to use their CAD. Is that hard and fast rule or can I pull it off on 3.5" without negative effect (caster, maybe). And would a good alignment shop be able to get it right.
I'm not opposed to new coils (Metalcloak 4.5" progressive for instance) but if I can get away without..
Thanks
