Minor rear end accident
The XJ was in a minor rear end accident here July 20th and has been in the shop since August 8th. Thus far they have repainted the back end twice and have yet to remove the dents and dimples on the panels they are to repair. WIndow trim has been painted over along with the Rino bed lining on the lower sections of the vehicle. Springs were re-arched and now rides 2" taller and vibrates when going down the road. Rear end is now way over sprung and do not want to drive the vehicle in its new repaired condition. Seriously considering pulling the vehicle from the shop and having a shop with some quality do the repairs. I don't know how this would work since the other guys insurance is paying for the repairs. Also don't want to total the vehicle in the process due to one shops inability to make proper repairs. Anyone have any advice in dealing with insurance on an older vehicle? and how to correct a lifter XJ now that it is messed up.

Stop the work at the one shop and go as high up as you can in that company to get it really fixed. They need to pay to get it repaired the right way but you pick the shop you want it done at. You may need someone to represent you as you take legal action

Who knows. I can tell from the work they are doing they could care less about the job and only care about getting paid. Monday I'm giving them a stop work order and informing state farm to stop all payments to them for a **** poor job.
Who the hell masks around a trim piece when shooting a panel. Its held on by double sided tape, how hard is that. All they did was a $1800 skuff and puff. I could get that done via Macco.
