Default Most common 35in tire size.

Thinking of bumping up to 35s this summer from my 31s. I’d like to stay within common sizes that a tire shop would likely have one in stock. Even brand.

anyway, what is the most “available” 35 inch tire?

35x12.5r17?

That is the tire size that is relevant to us. However the more popular sizes now are for larger rims and are not really off road tires. So stick with that size. Also bear in mind that many 35s are in load range D and E which are not only more expensive but don't do as well off road because the tire does not flex well

Jumping from 31s to 35s is a big step. You'll need to upgrade a lot of components to get the performance from those tires. Not a cheap or easy endeavor to do it correctly.

I disagree people say 10 ply tires are stiff cause they run pressure 35-50.
i run about 12-15psi never over 20.

If you run on the street any tires will work if you actually go off road you want to have the best odds of tire survival so get some beefy ones.

Many are here building trail rigs a few of us street rigs. My trail rig works great on tge street but a street setup wont work for me on the trails
