Correct. They say because it was installed I can exchange it, but I already had the shop just put a new one in so I don't need an extra. I was then told that if I want to talk about a refund to go back to the origional store I bought it from. My thinking is this, it's a chain store so which one I bought it at shouldn't matter. Being a faulty sensor their supplier will cover the cost, I've worked retail sales and that's how it works. That's why it's better to make the customer happy. Pep Boys doesn't seem to care about losing a customer or the other business they will lose because of it.

Ask them how the hell you're supposed to know it's faulty without installing it?

See that's using logic and reason. You won't get far in retail sales thinking like that.

I get to spend time asking another place how they missed that my axel is 2" off center when they did the alignment, two seperate times.
