Default Raptor bed liner

Anyone use it? I'm thinking about putting it on my new bumper. It looks a little better than roll on stuff. Thoughts?

Never used it, but if I ever do, Raptor will be the one I go with if I'm doing it myself. If I'm not, I'd pick line-x.

Monstaliner is better than raptor. Its the best DIY liner out, comes in colors, and the creator is an advid supporter of the jeep community. Its actually advertised as a jeep tub liner. There are pics at the end of my floor thread of monstaliner sprayed in my jeep In medium quartz grey, which matches the light grey of the interior realllly well.

the Monstaliner looks good but I'm looking for something i can spray on. I think the spray on has a more uniformed professional look to it.

Any one know if you can buy the Raptor in a store? I just tried to order it online and they want like $100 in shipping from amazon... EF that!

I sprayed the tinted raptor on my bumpers with their included free gun. In the directions though it says not to prime. I didnt prime my rear and now there are little rust spots coming through. But with the front I primed it first with rattle can white and am very happy with the results. It has held up very well so far, take a look at the pics on my profile.

primer is pourus and rust will come thru it / form under it.

You really need to properly paint something before its bedlinered, as bedliner is not considered a sealer or rust preventative. I reccomend Chassis Saver

I am just repeating what the included directions said to do, apply directly to the clean, raw metal. I live in a super salty environment and priming first yeilded better results than just spraying onto raw metal.

Blacksmith-how did you spray it?..shutz gun ? I don't like the fact of using MEK to thin it out just to shoot it.

also I am planning to spray a duplicolor self etching primer coat on before I shoot the liner on. this should solve the problem of adhesion and sealing.

Brotu123-did you buy the raptor online or at a store?

my flares, rockers and bumpers were proffesionally sprayed on prepped right and everything and its already chipping off after about 6-8 months, I plan on sanfing it off and going with monstaliner more worth it in the long run.

and my texture sprayed is actually more texture than you have to have.

Not by alot, but I opened the shutz gun up a little bit during the final coat to get a little more texture in some areas such as cargo and foot well. IDK why, but it looks and feels amazing. If you go with a color there is like no thinning involved with spraying it from a shutz gun. I used the shutz gun available thru magnet paints (the better of the 2 options) its reuseable, and I enjoyed it.

I picked mine up at a local auto body supply store, I gave them my paint code and tinted it there while I waited for free. The entire kit with gun was only $160 plus tax. I am actually thinking about buying another kit and doing my flares and rockers.
