People who love their RC lifts is because they probably haven't tried anything else. That was my case before I switched out. Even though, you get what you pay for. Not everyone out their has $2000 to shell out for a suspension set up.

Its a good starter brand... the leaves will give you a bad shackle angle in the rear... pretty sure they have fixed all that stuff with the bushings and all now... or at least that is what ive read and seen from RC...

My only demand is that i am able to climb over what ever obstacles i encounter when camping. like around gates and over the fallen trees. seriouse off road is really for peopple who have lots of money to spend on their toys!

When I first bought a Cherokee I knew nothing...my freshman year if college I planned to lift it...called up a guy I knee who has owned his own offroad shop for years (very reputable and very experienced) I asked about a rc lift and he couldn't stop telling me how poor of a ride of have..well my first lift was a rustys 3"..which I was pleased with..2nd came a rc 4.5..which rode awful, had almost no rear flex, and just turned me off to rc.. i wheeled that rig once with c stuff and it took abuse...now my new rig has RE 4.5 with rustys leafs and im a happy camper. Bottom line..RC is top of the line in customer service..the kit.rides awful, it will withstand abuse..and it'll get the job done...the leafs are the deal breaker for me though.

I am trying to choose between a Zone 4.5" Rusty's 4.5" or RC 4.5" and I can't figure out which one would be best. The RC comes with everything I need. But I've heard better things about Zone. Any comments will help! Thanks

I vote rustys...Ill vote rustys over RC any day..ive ran both..a couple years experience with both. Personally havent had zone on one of my rigs but a buddy did...his front end sagged kinda fast, and it didnt ride as good as my rustys kit. People constantly bash rustys...me...ive ran there stuff and dealt with them personally, they are great people, and a great company. I will say that their trac bars arent great, seen 2 of them break on the trails...but never happened to mine. My rough country lift got the job done but was very uncomfortable....the rear was so stiff I hated driving my jeep....the front shocks started squeeking shortly after install....It flexed...OK.

I have a 4.5 in rusty's mid arm kit and I love it! Smooth ride on the road and good flex on the trails. My only complaint is the stock rubber bushings. They wear out too quick. RC is a good company although their leaf packs sag and their too pricey for their quality.

I have had my rough country 4.5" x series kit with full packs for 5 months and I couldn't be any more satisfied with it! I can stuff the 31" km2's I have like a dream. I think the flex is great the only thing I would change is getting rid of the transfer case drop and moving to a slip yoke eliminator.
