rubicon wheels and tires do the fit an xj?
#47
Is this lifted? I just bought the same wheels and tires and ordered adapters. I plan on ordering a 3.5 rubicon express lift in 2 weeks. I was wondering if the wheels would fit with adapters, before I lift it, if I remove the flares? It's not my daily but I will be driving it 45 min to a buddies house to lift it. Thanks!

did mine last weekend with 1.25" spidertrax adapters. back spacing is about .5" more than stock wheel which brings the tires right out to the edge, maybe a 1/4" past the stock fenders. i love the new 2013 wheels. they dont work if your xj is green, or blue, or a weird color that doesn't carry the finish in the wheels.

these are 18" off a 2017 wrangler... I mistakenly bought 1.25 spacers thinking they would bolt up, but had to swap for 1.5 spacers. I didnt want to trim my lugs or replace them with shorter ones...
on a side note.. I now have a set of 1.25 spacers I'm not using... brand new.

It depends on the tires... I have a stock suspension and the OEM tires on the 2017 were too big and rubbed.. I swapped the tires out for a set that discount tire listed as the same outer diameter... wait till u lift it or u will have some problems with the OEM tires rubbing.

I added longer wheel studs, to ensure optimal thread engagement of Adapter (nuts).
For the other question, you MIGHT be able to drive (pre-lift) to buddies ... But I Wouldn’t ! Why risk damaging a new set of wheels & tires on wheel well edge, or lower control arm, or ...
