Default Serpintine belt keepspulling to the outside.

I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee with a 4.0, the idle pulley bearings went out a while back causing the edge of the bracket the pulley rides on to grind down a little bit. I put the new pulley on the bracket and the pulley looks to be lined up right and straight, yet the belt continues to ride to the outside. Can someone tell me if the bracket is actually causing the problem?

Get busy measuring and use some kind of straight edge to make sure everything is lined up like it should be. The bracket may or may not be causing the problem.

check your harmarnic balancer as well, mine walked the belt enough to get chewed by the fan blade and wrap all around the A/C pully.

Yeah the pulley bracket is probably causing the problem. What I would do is take the pulley back of then using redneck engendering, figure out a way to get a shimmed spacer near the ground down area. Good Luck
