Should I use this hood?

Thanks for the insight. You all have been extremely helpful. You've pointed me in the direction of the cowl induction hood, which I had no clue that this was. It does look rare. If I don't decide to keep it and paint it up right, I'll definitely sell it to someone who is going to take care of it.

Honestly, you all seem to appreciate this hood a lot more than I will. I will likely make an ebay listing for it at some point in the future. I've got some work to do on the Jeep this weekend, so I might not get around to it for awhile. I'll let you all know when I get around to it, since I'll also have to figure out how to ship it unless someone local to CO Springs can buy it.
Again, great community here! I look forward to reaching out with some other questions I may have as I work on lifting the new XJ.

So lemme get this straight, you take the under hood engine heat and dump it through the cowl into the passenger compartment? I'll think I'll have to pass as my rig is doing just fine.

When mounting this hood, first remove the passenger-side wiper arm from its post. That will avoid the wiper arm socket making a dent near the back edge of the hood when you open it.
Once the hood is mounted, you can replace the wiper, but be careful to open the hood slowly - to just almost the first hole that the hood prop fits into - checking to make sure the back of the hood doesn't hit the wiper post.
The additional height and length of the Reflexxion hood at the back edge make it so it can't be opened as far as the original hood without hitting the base of the passenger-side wiper arm.
There's a thread on this somewhere.
There's fixes, like trimming the hood, filling in the upper prop hole, moving the hood struts/shocks (if you have them) so the hood only opens part way, or leaving the wiper off, but otherwise the hood hits the wiper post if you open it too far.
Reflexxion XJ / MJ hoods have this one problem. It's a head scratcher why they were designed that way.
