Yea I went over to AEV as it is local but those guys are crazy expensive (specialize in wranglers so Im not supprised). JCR are good guys to deal with.

Oh and if you want to save some cash on tires, check out treadwright. They are re-treads but I had almost 50k out of my last set and they do really well for themselves. The new Bead to beads look good too! People dislike the idea of re-treads but nobody i know who has ran them has any problems. They took alot less weight to get balanced as well.

Oh cool I might check that out. Heard about them before and like you said, no one who had them had any complaints. I'm supposed to have some new tires and wheels "given to me" but I dont know how reliable my source is haha

I just did my lift on Saturday and I live in South Jersey, one of the rust capitals. And I didn't brake one bolt because of pb blaster.

So I picked up some RE sway bar end links and they aren't going to work at all. How can RE market these for an XJ when the bushing is too big and not offset to match the position of the sway bar?

Not familiar with them, but I know another guy on here recently had to modify his to make them work, not sure if its the same issue exactly. For what its worth (and I'm not a fan of theirs) I got the RC quick discos for $64 from morris4x4 (I think). They seem to work alright, granted if they break in 3 months I'll be providing a review here stating as much...

I figured if I can pound the sleeves from the old links in to the bushings I'll have that problem solved. Just wonder how the top is going to mount with that offset...

Well I haven't gotten the adapters yet to mount to the sway bar, but on the end link itself, the bushings are too large, so I'll have to hammer a sleeve inside so the fit properly on the mounting stud

Yeah if the adapters don't line up with the sway bar I'm just going to order fixed links from Zone Offroad, they have the offset. I'll know tomorrow after I pick up the RE adapters from 4wheelparts in the morning

According to the description of the RE adapters,

"Bracket kit includes mounting hardware to allow installation of Rubicon sway bar disconnects or any other straight end link with dual shock eye style bushings. Adapter bracket kit allows the mounting of any straight end link or sway bar disconnect to the factory Jeep XJ or ZJ front sway bar. Includes offset lower mount for proper alignment."

Well I got the sway bar links in. You have to cut out the lower link mounting lug from bracket to use them. That bolt is pressed in, do not attempt to unscrew it! I read a few ways on how to get it out. First I cut off the threads with a dremel, then drilled through the center stepping up to a 3/8" bit. Then I was able to punch out the rest of the pressed in bolt and finally hone it with a 1/2" bit. The adapter kit comes with everything you need for the offset. Overall it wasnt bad.
