Hello everyone,

I bought this Cherokee just 3 days ago and it ran fine and I drove it the day after as well without problems. Today (after 1 day of not being driven) it starts up at first but then dies and keeps trying to start up it seems like.

It doesnt even matter if i remove the key from the ignition, it keeps trying to start up. Could this be something related to the immobilizer?
Any help pointing me in the right direction is appreciated!

This helps EVERYONE out by informing them immediately about your year, make, model, etc.

These details are necessary for responders to accurately answer your questions without guessing or having to ask what are the specifics of the vehicle you are referring to. You can add these details easily and permanently by creating a signature or adding your truck details to your existing signature.

5 minutes of your time doing this now will save a ton of time and effort later.

I know that is Cruiser's standard response - & I do understand why, but in this particular instance I only needed to know the year when replying to OP's other post.

However, perhaps I was too hasty & didn't notice anything about self starting; that is almost certainly a short circuit at the starter.
