Default Switching D35 to 8.25 - couple questions..

I have a line on a Chrysler 8.25 (29 spline) out of a 99XJ which I am thinking of swapping into my 98XJ instead of the D35. While tecchnically it should be a simple swap, I have some questions:

If it comes from an XJ without ABS, do I need to replace the shafts to preserve the ABS capability?

Will I need a different rear drive shaft? Is the 8.25 longer or shorter?

The D35 in the XJ Limited has some sort of limited slip, which engages in 4Wheel part time. Are there selectable lockers available for the 8.25?

Thanks for any info..

Doont think 8.25 has anti lock capabilities axle wise , deff get drive shaft it shorter. As for locker if the 8.25 is not equipped with one it cqn be purchased aftermarket. Also get u bolts and plates as d35 will not fit .

If you're lifted 3" or so, you can use your driveshaft.

And the limited slip is purely mechanical. Works whether you're in 4wd or not.

IIRC, ABS was only available with the D35.
