If it were me I think I would pass on it first of all because the seller knows nothing about what he has, a very poor sign when dealing with someone on parts such as these.

I put a used lift kit on my 1988 xj. It was on a 98 model that was wrecked The lift had not been on there long.. I was able to get the whole jeep with the 3" lift and 31x10.5 (almost like new) and black D windows for $450.
I used the front springs, lca's, shocks, drop brackets, etc and rear springs, shocks and wheels/tires.
I then sold the carcus of the wrecked jeep for $200..
Before and after..

It looks like sky jacker, I cant imagine a small fire like that causing much damage to the lift components. I'd use the "hes clueless" thing and beat the price down to 100

Talked to the guy again. It's a Skyjacker lift with full leaf packs. Got him down to $100 for the lift kit, coils, LCAs, and leafs. Decided to take it. Since it was all still installed on the jeep, I paid him $75 to take it off because I didn't want to deal with it lol. New question: what else do I need to buy go get everything set up right? Swaybar? Track bar? Shocks for sure... And I'm going with a tcase drop for the time being.

You will need a new track bar for the lift an adj. one, I would suggest a double shear. Also required are either sway bar disconnects (the correct way) or extensions for it. A good set of shocks go a long way in the ride and drive both on and off road, being your buying new I suggest Bilstein 5100's a good quality mid priced shock.
When doing the install do remove the rear sway bar if you have one for sure get rid of it. Make sure you front end is in good condition "Before" installing the lift and if TRE's are needed do the ZJ upgrade for larger tires and off road. If the u-joints are worn they will show with the lift good time to R&R them.
One other item you may want to consider is with a lift the crappy OEM linkage on the TC will need adj., but the best way is to spend I think $60-70 on a new Boost Works TC linkage for it and do away with that problem forever. I'm sure I forgot something but others can help as well, the correct wheel helps a lot for fitment a 15x8" with 3.75" of BS fits well for a 31-35" tire up to a 12.5" width.

Ok thanks. Jeep n00b here lol. I was also wondering about the shocks and bump stops lengths?

If it's a 3" lift order shocks for a 3" lift the bump stops will be determined by tire size and travel when SB is disconnected.
You can use stock brake lines with 3" by relocating the mounts or buy new ones both are acceptable.

Yes you can re-drill the stock one and use for a 3" but I would never suggest it have saw and heard of to many problems doing so. An Adj. Track Bar is the way to go and better yet is a Dbl. Shear one.

Yeah I was planning on one from iron rock off-road. At 3.5 inches of lift, will I be ok with a transfer case drop?
