i'm looking at the warn 88980 ZEON 8. amazon has it for like $853 and everywhere else it looks to be closer to $879. is there anywhere else that has better prices than amazon?


the other question would be, is it worth the little extra money for the Warn 88990 ZEON 10 Winch? its only $70 more...

I stopped (trying) to sell Warn quite some time ago. Never sold a single one.

Warn now requires all authorized sellers to sell at the same price.

 

really? that explains why every place i see have them at the same price. wonder how that amazon place is selling them cheaper..

People that sell below MAP on Shamazon and Fleabay are not authorized resellers. Generally the stuff you buy from one of them won't be covered by the mfg. warranty.

There are mfg's that will not fill orders for shamazon/fleabay sellers that are selling below MAP.

 

Ive been happy with my Smittybilt. i think i payed 270. quite a few members in our club have variants from the 8000 up to the 12000 and are al lhappy. we use them almsot every weekend from moving rocks,trees, other rigs and extensivelly in the winter snow wheeling. no hiccups.

 

I'll second smittybilt. As much as I hate 4wheelparts, my 10k smittybilt has not let me down. It's not the fastest or the shiniest, but it gets the job done. Think I paid 300 for mine new, but that was 3-4 years ago

 

I have a Superwinch Talon 9.5 on mine for over 3 1/2 yrs. excellent quality winch and really is waterproof (proven on numerous events). It also had a better warranty than Warn when I bought mine and a lot of places work on them if ever a repair is required not like a lot of the China made ones.


I did make one mistake when I ordered mine though I bought it with the syn. rope and it didn't last very long at all till it started coming apart. I replaced it with wire rope after about a half dozen uses and still running it.

i've talked to a few close friends that wheel a ton out in the pines and they say the same thing about the syn. rope. they say the sand just tears it up.

 

Beat thing about smittybilt is if it dies they have a lifetime warranty on them. Yeah it may not help in the moment but you will get replacement parts to fix it.

 

Only problem with a winch diying is its always when you need it most,But if you never wheel alone and have a strap you have a back up plan.
