WJ Power Steering Pump Upgrade with Cooler
I have everything to do the Power Steering upgrade with a WJ Power Steering Pump and Reservoir. The one thing I have noticed is most people plug the bottom low pressure fitting, that is typically used for (I believe the hydraulic fan in the WJs).
My thought was to put in a Power Steering cooler in, since I have to plug the line anyway. For my application the cooler is probably overkill and I understand that. My concern is with using the low pressure line and nothing really pushing through it, the fluid would sit, and not circulate. I could then T it back to the return line (which is higher up on the reservoir) with a filter before the reservoir.
I have searched around and haven't been able to find anyone that has done this, which makes me think there is probably a reason.

Cooler would need to be inline of return line with second port cap off. Return line is low pressure it will still circulate fluid.
