I just bought mine from Autozone. Did it a week ago. $70, got the Duralast tie rod and adj sleeve, but i went with the Advanced Auto tie rod end because it looked stronger and had a better boot on it.
Autozone tie rod, long rod: DS1312
Autozone Adj Sleeve: ES2079S
Autozone tie rod END, small part: ES3096
If you want a better tie rod END Advanced auto part number is DW-ES3096L better boot and looks thicker and better. Autozone long tie rod is very well made comparedmto the tie rod end they offer. But give them the part numbers and dont worry about they make and model crap. Also the adjuster on this will go on your drivers side spindle side.

found it at a local wrecking yard and although it was all kinda pricey I just got the whole drag link/tie rod&end/steering stablizer it was still cheaper than all new or driving out of the city to another yard (time, bridge toll, gas...) also, pieces off the drag link came in handy and now I gotta spare dl.

i was thinking of starting an over the knukle upgrade with my xj. im sitting on 33's right now and wanted to do the zj upgrade. so basically wanted to know if this zj tie rod upgrade will work over the knuckle on my xj. i know that the stock tie rod can be fliped over with little work so im assuming that this is true for the zj upgrade since its a xj bolt on upgrade.

Yes, it will work fine. That is what it was made for so it will bolt right up and work.

Awesome. Every little bit helps. I also have a Autozone shopping card. It gives you credit for buying stuff. Since I work on cars on the side, I buy as much stuff as I possibly can from Azone and use the card. The points add up quick and I have gotten a lot of stuff for free. Every $100 you get like $20 bucks I think. Plus, Azone has lifetime warranty on most of their stuff. So even if it is not the best you can just take it back for a replacement. And if you off Road much you know stuff breaks. Even the Splicer and Moog stuff.

Yeah, it's solid steel and thicker by almost a 1/4 inch if I remember right. The draglink is already a solid steel part so really there is no reason in replacing it with anything but the stock style part. I just bought the factory draglink replacement I think from Azone. Solid steel piece just like the stock factory type part.

I got everything new for $120 from Azone and Advance for the tie rod upgrade. What did you pay used? New stabilizer is $30, draglink $49.99 from Azone.
Just curious because you said the Jyard stuff was pricey.
The problem with used steering parts "which are wear parts", is that you are replacing worn out parts for worn out parts. Unless you
find a ZJ that has had it all replaced recently. It's kind of like buying used brake pads to me. But maybe you found some fairly new parts.

Also, to everyone wanting to replace the Drag link, Autozone has it listed as a Tie rod end. Another case of non mechanical type people doing the listing and inventory at an auto parts store. The part number is: DS1238 $49.99
It is solid cast steel "draglink" unlike the "actual tie rod" so it should be plenty strong as a stock replacement part and shouldn't need upgrading unless obviously it is something radical like a Rock Crawling Air shock setup or something like that. IMO

Let me ask this: My steering is dangerously sloppy. If this doesn't fix it, I can swap in the ZJ steering box from a JY with no issues with the above parts, correct?

Unless the ball joints are bad on the tie rod this wont help you. If your pump is bad you can get a durango pump, its stronger than the jeep pumps. ZJ pumps are the same pump as XJs.
