Default Everything you need for a 4.5 lift, and more.

Okay gang... My plans for a lift had to be changed, and you may benefit. I had purchased everything I needed to do a 4.5" lift, and right before I was set to actually tackle the job, our 150 pound Mastiff was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. If you don't know what that means, I'll sum it up by saying he has problems with his rear hip joints, it can be painful as he ages, and also means that he has difficulty jumping or going up and down stairs.

I love my XJ, but I love my dog more. And because I take Jake with me a lot, a lower vehicle entry height will work better for him. My wife and I have no children, so Jake is like our kid.

So here's the deal... I'm selling all the stuff I bought over the last year for the lift. Couple of points to keep in mind:

  • Unless otherwise noted, these items are all brand new in the box, not used.
  • I'm not desperate for quick cash, so please don't waste my time by trying to low-ball me.
  • While I will consider selling the items separately, I will NOT break up the lift kit and sell off the individual components.
  • Even though these are new items, I have taken money off of what I paid for them, so I'm taking a loss. If someone chooses to buy everything in one shot so they have everything they need to do a lift correctly, I will consider offering an additional discount.
  • No trades, no checks (except verified cashier's checks). Cash only.
  • No, I will not cover several hundred dollars in shipping charges to send all this to Crow'sAss, Alaska. I will check on shipping charges accordingly and we can work something out. Or, I live in Arlington, Texas, so if you're near the DFW area, you can just drive over.
  • No, I will not un-mount the tires, or break up the set.
  • I'm not some broke dope-head Bubba that's going to screw you over. I'm a married 42 year old Information Technology Director living in an upper middle class neighborhood, I've been a member of this site for years, and I like to think I have a reputation as a helpful guy. I'll be sure to communicate regarding payments, shipping, etc.
So, with all that out of the way, here's what I have to offer:

  • Rough Country X-Series 4.5" lift (SKU 633XN2) with shocks, disconnects, track bar, full springs, adjustable uppers and lowers, U-Bolts, and extended brake lines. Normally $830. Will sell for $775.
  • Rough Country Control Arm Drop Kit (SKU 1627). Get's rid of the "pogo-stick" jarring affect of higher short-arm lifts. Normally $190. Will sell for $160.
  • Rough Country Dropped Pitman Arm. Normally $53. Will sell for $40.
  • JCR Classic Sliders - Powder Coated Black. Normally $520. Will sell for $450. EDIT: Many people are confused on the price. JCR sells these for $369 BARE METAL. The powder coating adds $150, bring the total to $520. Yours for $450.
  • Rigged Ridge SYE. Normally $190. Will sell for $150.
  • (4) Firestone Destination AT's (less than 500 miles on them) in 31x10.5-15 already mounted on (4) factory Jeep Canyon wheels. Also, (1) Pro-Comp All-terrain (new) 31x10.5-15 spare tire mounted on factory Jeep Canyon wheel. The four Destinations currently sell for $572 (before mount/balance/disposal/tax) and $710 "out the door" for a set of four without wheels. I'll sell all 5 tires and wheels for $500.
  • I also have two complete Alloy USA 4.10 gear sets with full axle rebuild kits, but I think I'm going to hang onto those for the time being. Unless someone twists my arm...
  • (1) USED front driveshaft from a NP231/Auto/D30HP XJ. This was to be used as a rear driveshaft after the lift. I'll let it go for $30. Throw some new Spicer 1310's in there, and a CV rebuild kit ($42 at O'Reilly) and you'll have yourself a shaft that should last awhile.
In summary, aside from gear sets and a speedo gear, this is everything you'd need to do a lift and shoe your horse with some new rubber afterward. All of this would normally cost right around $2750, plus whatever shipping and tax you would have paid. It can all be had for $2085. That's not a bad price for all of this, especially if you don't want to screw with used parts, or spend the time trying to round all this up from several different sources. Lift, shocks, SYE, sliders, tires, and wheels for just a bit over $2K.

If interested, send me a PM. I and Jake the Mastiff thank you.

Update 10-30-15 SYE Sale Pending.
Update 11-3-15 SYE Sold
Update 11-4-15 Offers pending on JCR sliders and Tires/wheels
Update 11-7-15 Lift kit, driveshaft, drop brackets set, pitman arm, and gears sets are SOLD. I still have the JCR sliders, and the wheel/tire set. These would be good "Merry Christmas to ME" items.

Okay, was swamped at work today and just got home. I'll be shipping out through my company, as it will be somewhat cheaper, especially for the larger items or ones that need to be palletized.

Let me check on shipping tomorrow once I can log into our account and I'll let you know.

Looks like I have the SYE sold. If anything changes on that I'll let everyone know.

Also, I posted this stuff on my area Craigslist as well, and it looks like I might have someone who is interested in the rest of the package. He's suppose dto com over this weekend and look at everything. No promises or money yet, so I'm keeping everything posted here as well till I know for sure. If someone here agrees to a deal before that guy, I'm going first come, first serve.

No. There were extended brake line in the lift kit, but of course they were sold with the kit.

You can either use YJ lines from the JY or auto parts store, or you can order a set of braided extended at Iron Rock Offroad.
