1992 XJ Sport 4x4 111k miles w/light upgrades
UPDATE - SOLD
Just finished up a 4hr polish job and application of ceramic sealant on the paint earlier today (11/28), and uploaded two youtube videos...one's a cold start and drive, and the other one's a slow walkaround. Links:
Up for sale is my low mileage 1992 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L 4x4 with factory tow package and mild upgrades. I am the second owner...the first owner was my wife's aunt who passed away in 2018. This XJ spent it's entire life until our ownership in central Oregon around the Bend-Redmond area. Since I've owned it for the past three years I have added 12,000 miles of mixed local city and highway driving. It has never been used off-road.
I have the original window sticker and all service records since it's original purchase new. Below is a list of upgrades and maintenance that has been performed since my ownership:
New, larger transmission cooler, champion copper spark plugs, WVE distributor cap and rotor, coolant system flush done at 106k
Bosch 12 hole fuel injectors, and new fuel filter, added at 106k
Oil changed every 3,000mi with STP SYN full synthetic 5w-40 diesel oil (high zinc content)
Valve cover gasket (Fel-pro) replaced at 105k
Transfer case (NP231) fluid replaced at 110k
Front differential (Dana 30) and rear differential (Chrysler 8.25) gear oil replaced (Valvoline synthetic 75w-140) at 110k
Front headlights replaced with Osram 110w LED 5x7 lamps, rear brake and reverse lights replaced with LEDs as well at 102k
Front rotors and brake pads replaced at 110k
Rear brake drums, shoes, hardware, brake cylinders, full brake fluid flush with DOT4 replaced 11/23/21
2.5" lift using extended leaf spring shackles, and delrin coil spacers, Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers added at 106k
Monroe 58594 rear heavy duty load adjusting combined shock coil spring assembly, and Blistein 24185622 B8 5100 front shocks designed for 2-3" lifts, added at 110k
New front sway bar bushings and zone off-road extended vertical endlinks for 3" lifts, added at 110k
3M Crystalline nano window tint (35% front tint, 20% tint on everything else) added at 105k
BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A K02 30x9.5x15 tires and Grand Cherokee 5 star wheels purchased used at 107k
72sqft of 80mil Noico butyl sound deadening material and 36sqft 150mil Noico closed cell foam added to doors, under the hood, the rear floor, wheel arches, and rear hatch added at 102k...maybe the quietest XJ you'll ever sit in, wind noise through the glass and dash rattles is what's loudest (currently tracking down dash rattles to isolate with more closed cell foam)
Vintage MB Quart 5.25 Q series coaxial component speakers with separate crossovers in the front doors added at 102k
Deepsleep air mattress designed as custom fit for the XJ
Take a look at the pictures...the paint is amazing for it's age, though there are chips here and there and crows feet on the hood and roof from three decades of heat. Driver door has a couple dimples, hard to see unless at certain angles...could probably use a dent puller kit to get them out. Rear seat has a cigarette burn, and there are stains on the floor mats and a few scuffs on the headliner. Spare tire with cover in the back. It still has the factory body rubberized undercoating and no rust other than the usual (axles, driveline, exhaust). Low-ball offers will be ignored, feel free to ask away about anything not mentioned. $12,000 with reasonable offers considered.
