[MD] 1989 Cherokee XJ Pioneer 2-door 5 speed w/ 5-6" lift Long-Arm on 35's
PRICE DROP
Fully running 1989 Cherokee XJ with 159K miles on odometer. Engine has been replaced and runs strong, not a renix. No lifter tick at all. The truck came from the west coast and there is little to no rust on the unibody.
This XJ is highly modified and as I am not the original owner, I can only share what I know. Long-arm kit is a generation 1 Rock Krawler set-up.
1st is that all pictures show the truck on 36" beadlocks, but it currently sits on 35" red label General Grabbers. Tires have some tread but not a great deal.
Front diff is a high-pinion Dana 30 with an Eaton or Auborn locker (original owner doesn’t remember which one he put in). The rear is an AMC 20 with one-piece axles and ‘lunchbox’ lockers. Gearing is 4:88
Front winch is a Mile Marker 12,000 lb and works great.
Some pics show horrible purple tint which has been partially removed. Interior seating is blue (I personally have never seen a blue interior).
AC/cooling system has been modified from the open renix to a closed system on a non-Renix engine. Front bumper is great and rear bumper is functional, but the swing out carrier is not off much use at it is NOT tied into the unibody with nutserts. I personally would not trust it to hold up for long for a tire of any size.
There are electrical gremlins that I am not up to figuring out. Wipers don't work or most of the original and aftermarket gauges.
Truck is a beast off-road but I don't have a trailer or truck to haul it. The cargo area is equipped with a utility rack similar to what is pictured but it is NOT MADE BY GARVIN.
XJ is also equipped with Bushwacker fender flares.
I am in Bel Air, MD. Trying to get back what I have put into it so I am asking $3950. Motivated seller, cash only.
I will not come to you but you certainly call to come by.
This is fully running driving trail truck but needs work that I am not capable of keeping up with.
Rust spot on the roof has been touched up with Rustoleum to stop any further damage.
MINE IS SIMILAR BUT NOT A GARVIN AS SHOWN
