[FS] Custom Maglight Holder!
#31

I received mine in the mail last week or so. I haven't gotten a chance to install it yet but I'm impressed with the construction of it. It is my first piece of 3D printed anything, I'm excited just to look at it up close.
Anyway, this thing feels pretty solid. Holds the light nice and snug. Worth the $15 in my opinion.

How easily do they pop out? I need to order one but Im wanting to place it horizontally above my head between the a and b pillers where you would put a grab handle

OP, is there any chance of you offering an option to smooth the print out a bit? I recall some people using acetone vapor on prints and the results being pretty nice.

Sorry for the delayed response everyone!!
Regarding how easily the maglites come out: they stick in with a good amount of force. I think you would be safe mounting one upside down in a grab-handle type location. No normal amount of road input could cause it to fall out - off road is a different story, nothing is really predictable and I would feel pretty bad if one of these fell out and hit your head! A velcro strap would be a good safe guard for these extremes.
About smoothing them out - I actually do smooth all of them out now with an acetone vapor bath! If you look at 87p89lCherokee's pics at the top of this page, you can see how they look smoothed out - his was. It gives the part a nice shine and makes it look like any other injection molded plastic part you would buy.
And yes, pmondo, I have many left and I can always make more!
Many thanks to everyone who has purchased thus far!!
(custom designs are also possible! let me know if you can think of some kind of useful plastic part you think would be useful!)
