Default Dutchman in L.A. just bought 2001 XJ

Hello fellow Jeep friends,

100% Dutch and living in L.A. Just bought my first Jeep Cherokee XJ (2001) with 69,000 miles (ex US Federal Government vehicle). Had tires replaced by bunch of morons who lifted rear by putting jack under rear axle diferential housing . It's now wet and looks like gasket or seal is no longer 100%. Although I ordered the Chilton and Haynes repair manuals, I have limited space and tools to do my own repairs. Since I got ripped off 2 times by a local Jeep dealership back in The Netherlands when I had my Wrangler YJ, I'm looking for a good Jeep mechanic around Los Angeles. Any advise where to go for a tune up? Thanks a lot!

Cheers,
-Geralt

That wouldn't be the cause of that.

Yes, Europe is definitely not a cheap destination. Especially with the Euro getting stronger every day. Gas is 2.5 times more expensive than over here that's why my YJ was running on LPG (propane).
Just got my license plates today. Registration fee of $125 is a joke compared to the EUR 1,300 I paid back in Holland. Anyway, I hope one day you will be able to visit your anchestors home lands and get reconnected.
We should hook up one day and have a Heineken, Amstel or one of the better Dutch beers: Grolsch!

Cheers!
