I thought I would introduce myself to the group. A couple weeks ago i picked up a 2 owner 2000 XJ Sport with the 4.0 and auto trans. It is rust free and in overall good shape with minor dings and scrapes for a vehicle with 195k miles. The engine has spun a bearing so that will be coming out. The current plan is to get crate motor, fresh the trans while its out, and repair all the neglected mechanical items on the truck. I will drive it until all the bugs are worked out then the real fun begins. Starting with frame stiffeners, 3.5 inch Rubicon Express lift, East Coast Gear 489 Dana 44 axles front and rear with OX lockers and 4.56 gears, aftermarket bumpers and winch, and running 33x10.50x15 tires. I just like that look.

 

I am a certified car nut and a former offroad racer with the ECORS series. I am an experienced fabricator and good mechanic. I will create a build thread on my new to me XJ, I've dubbed it project MyCorona for obvious reasons. Since we are guys and love pictures I will share some of my builds.
