Congrats -looks like you picked a healthy XJ to start with! I'm in Sacramento and wheel my XJ - what 4x4 trails have you done?

so far it’s healthy. A little backstory on it. I’ve never done any 4x4 off-roading. My buddy who I bought this from has done the Mojave trail and other trails that I forgot the names of them. I don’t really plan on doing heavy off roading, but I’ll hit the trails and explore. I changed almost everything in the cooling system except the radiator. Just trying to have a reliable XJ.

With 33" tires, I hope her regarded the diff's and if it still has a Dana 30 on the front at least it should have ceremonially axles. We did Mojave road as well. Is the hood louvered? Cooling on these is mostly getting the hot air somewhere to go. If it has an Auto trans swap out the cooling corrections - Chrysler's connections will leak

I will find out if it’s been re-geared and what kind of front and rear diff it has. Hood is louvered. It does have an auto trans. What lines is recommended to swap? Easy swap to do?

thank you for this I saw the Parker fittings you posted. Will they need any thread sealant on the side that goes into the transmission?

edit to add* my xj has been re-geared. I can go up to 35” tires if I want. But right now I’m focusing on getting the cooling system right. It’s had a hard time burping. Drives great and stays within good temp and no rise with airflow from driving. But with the weather we’ve been having here in socal, at idle with AC on, temp creeps up. I have the OEM temp gauge and a digital gauge. So I believe there’s still air in the system which I’m going to mess with today. I changed everything for the cooling system except the radiator

Lower gearing is good news! I went with a Mishimoto radiator, which has a larger capacity of both coolant and ATF. However, these old 6's do run hot - A month ago, climbing up Mazourka Canyon in 4WD low with the AC on, the temp gage started creeping up. I rolled the windows down and turned off the AC and the gauge started back down. I'm debating the inconvenience vs adding a three-fan system my self
