Hahah yea I know, was never too big of deal in my yj but xj was not so happy.Trying to tone in done a bit, came so close to flipping already too.Had to leave it because had the kid but came back and got her down with out flipping it.Wish I took a picture,no more water for this rig for a bit.It was super clean when I got it but I broke her in a bit now.Paid 3k for it,much more than I usually pay for jeeps but its much nicer than the xj's I have had in the past. For 3k I am happy with it,good start for me and the wife is happy for the 4 door.I usually drove yj's that are rockcrawlers so she is happy for a normal jeep. The xj's are not too bad, making a list of mod,get that dana 35 out of there soon.LOVE this site,so many sweet builds!!!Seems to mess with my pc,freezes and it has never froze before, only one here.

Very sharp man !!!!!! What size tires you have on it and how much of a lift does it have?
I'm going to put a lift kit and bigger tires on one of mine I've had my 94 country for over ten years now, I don't want to go to big or too high I was thinking 31-10 50s would be just right don't know how much of a lift I would have to put on it to achieve that. The funny thing I'm 42 years old never in my life have I have the urge to put a lift and bigger tires on a vehicle until now lol

hey steve. for 31.5 tires, you would want 15x8 rims with a backspace of 3.75 as it's the ideal setup to not rub. (roadside checks don't like to see tires come into contact with control arms). you can achieve that with at least a 3.5 inch lift as long as you cut/trim the fenders. if you don't want to cut up the fenders, you're gonna need at least 4.5 or even 5.5 inch lift so when you turn full turn on an obstacle while off road, it won't come into contact with any body/suspension parts either. sure, you could bumpstop, but why, that just takes away from the travel you just spent big bucks on for your lift kit. don't buy cheap... you get cheap.

I will be down here in the the good old bluegrass state of Kentucky. But I found a couple links on here yesterday of places to order lift kits from one of them up heard a lot about but like I said before I've never put a lift kit on a vehicle. Have you ever heard of the company called Sky lifter? And you being in from Canada I'd like to ask you what kind of mud and snow tires do you swear by if any?

up here where i live now, it's cold, and the snow is light and dry for the most part, so i find BF Goodrich AT3 KO i believe is the best in winter, however, if it gets sloppy, duratrac's work great too, and they're pretty good all around. but the mud is thick and plenty up here, with lots of wet rock and tree roots, so a good mud tire is a must. i like good year mtr as i still drive mine to the trails, but others use swampers or trepadors, pitbull rockers, etc. not sure what i'm gonna use next, right now my big jeep is still on 36 bias ply iroks, but they're getting pretty worn out now. i may go with PBRs.
