Emissions recall u90
I recently took my 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude with 107,000 miles on it to the dealership to have my emissions recall u90 completed. When I dropped the car off everything was working fine. When they gave it back to me 4 hours later, the full front dashboard wasn't working including the radio/backup camera screen, the driver's side window was down but now won't go back up, and the heat is running at full blast. The dealership repair people said that the ECU connection wasn't working so they couldn't see the codes from the computer. They said it happened immediately and took pics of the dashboard with the error lights. I didn't see any error lights when I dropped it off.
I have my own odb2 reader and it agrees with them I can't pull any of the codes from the computer even though I've done it in the past.
Has anyone experienced any of these issues? Is it common for Jeep Cherokee's to have this? Any advice or suggestions? I'm kinda at a loss here.
Thank you in advance.

check out the wiring at the ecu. I don't see any reason why they would need to unplug the ecu unless they had to do a bench programing or installed the new program directly at the ecu when it could have been done via the obd II port.
maybe they unplugged it and ruined the wiring in the process. either way if you didn't have those issues going in then it should not have those issues going out. if the wiring or ecu connection was not working before you took it in you would have had those problems before. the ecu controls everything so if it's not working or connected properly you should have had those issues before.
I would have not taken it back I would have left it there and told them to give it back the same way you took it in. also I think when they scan the ecu they can tell you how long those codes have been displayed on the ecu as proof that it wasn't working before you took it in.

Thanks for your reply!
Yeah, i didn't want to take the car back but they didn't have the "right" people in to fix it and they didn't have a rental car. I'm taking it back in tomorrow. They said the car wouldn't pod so they couldn't grab any of the data from the computer. It feels wrong to me.
None of the issues I experienced after I got the car back from them were happening when I first dropped it off. After they fix it I was hoping to review the computer to see the time stamps of the errors.

There is a relearn process they need to do after updating the firmware to get all the various computers talking again. When they did the trans firmware on my 2014, they gave it back to me with the check engine light on and a slew of error messages. Windows, backup camera, heat, etc didn't work. They had to take it back in the shop and finish the procedure that apparently the tech forgot to do before going to lunch.
