Hi. I was wondering if your Jeeps parking brake lamp indicator is illuminated? Also, if you have looked to see if there are any recalls or TSB's associated with your year model Jeep? I found a TSB recall that sounds like it?

Then, I also found this; someone else says:
Resurrecting an older thread here.
Used the Alfa OBD software to diagnose a problem with the electronic parking brake. It indicated the right side actuator has a fault. I checked the connector and found it to be corroded. Cleaned the connector and cleared the fault code. Everything is back to normal now. Great piece of software/hardware. The cost of a dealer visit paid for.

I had that after doing pads on my 2014. I used the service menu to retract the parking brake as required when replacing the pads , and it refused to unretract and kept telling me to hold the brake and try releasing it. It took several tries but eventually worked.
