I am curious to just how many people with 2014 Cherokee are experiencing this. This has been an issue on and off for us. Started in 2020, and the dealership said it was the battery, put in a new battery. Did not fix the problem. Took in for diagnostics, thought it was electronic. Said that I needed to bring it back when it happened again. Happened again, and brought it back ..Saying it is going to cost 5 grand to fix this! And not it died on my moving...WTF? Jeep seems not to care AT ALL!

Basically, it says the parking brake needs service, and 4-wheel drive not available and won't start. Then it resets itself and starts again. They are not even sure if it is the problem, the invoice states...

Did it 1 time for tech, would not start, noticed the EPS was red on the topdpgy along with the PCM. need it to fail more to be for sure?? Checked grounds okay.. Anyone have advice?

That said, a bad battery or battery connections will cause all sorts of bizarre error messages. Very common. I had that myself with 4wd not available, service EPS, the wipers wouldn't turn off, key fob stopped working, etc. Cleaning and tightening the battery connectors fixed it. What happens is that the voltage drops low enough during cranking that the computers crash or get in a weird state and start throwing error messages.
