98 cherokee ignition switch wiring
I want to wire an on/off ignition switch and a push to start button, there is an 8 pin connector coming from the ignition switch, besides yellow and red i cant find anything on the rest, i can find information for older cherokees, and grands, the 8 wires are colored as follows, yellow, red, dark blue, black/whitetrace, black/orangetrace, pink/blacktrace, gray, black
Ive looked in the Haynes manual which isnt much help since it shows wires as systems not by the connector, and nothing from older cherokees pr grands lines up quite right. If anyone could assist it would be greatly appreciated

i have seen that, still trying to find the pink with black tracer, and two smaller wires im thinking theyre for the horn.
from what i can tell ill take the accessory and ignition wires and connect them with a switch to the constant 12v, then hook the yellow to 12v with a momentary pushbutton?

Do you really need relays to jumper the ignition? All that should be on relays in the main fuse box in the engine bay right?
I think the OP just wants a simple bypass setup. I would think you would't need to rewire everything. Just splice in and be done. I could be wrong though.. Good luck running down those wires though.

Im pretty sure i can shift without the key, but if not i do plan to bypass that, i will be removing the cylinder all together, and eventually will be going with poly performances tilt column and a removabl wheel
