Default Reverse lights mounted in bumper

The bumper that I had built is about done, I want to install some reverse lights in it. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get some? I want them to be leds and somewhat bright but not crazy bright.

What size openings? I see many people running the 3" cube LED pods in the back bumper.

They will be 6" oval size. I found a few last night searching but would like a few opinions on what people have used and from what vendors.

If it were me I would install 2 sets 1 recessed into the bumper and protected and another set mounted up high like on the roof rack for a back-up/work light on a duel switch.

I have my stock back-up lights that are upgraded and a set of 7" Hella rounds mounted on my roof rack with the switch mounted on the pod panel with all my other lights.

I was planning on installing some on my roof rack also. The reverse lights will be covered up by the swing away tire carrier so I'm putting some recessed ones in the bumper.

I wish I would have done that on mine, had cutouts made for some in bumper with a guard on them.

Is it too late to get the led cubes and weld them some mounts to be "IN" the bumper?

I was going to go this route, but I'm told the LED reverse bulbs are quite adequate. I didn't really think a 4 led cube would be that bad, but it'll save me having to cut into a new JCR rear bumper.

I mounted rear lights above bumper and below taillights. Also have projector lens LEDs in the reverse sockets. There is a vendor here that sells LED pods.

As can be seen between Steve's and mine what makes the difference is if you have a swing-out tire carrier or not. I upgraded my stock ones but they are still somewhat blocked by it. The extra light did make a difference though, on Steve's that is a nice place for them with that bumper.

I just mounted one 60* beam pod on the swing out. It's good for a work light/reversing, but the tire still blocks any use I may have from the driver seat:

That's a good idea. I have a swing out tire carrier and a light bar on my roof rack and there is a big spot off light that is hidden from the tire. I thought about mounting it in the bumper after I bought the light bar and modified the roof rack. I should of bought pods and not a bar.

I run em off the roof rack.
In bumper is also a trick setup.
For good performance and cheap cost, google Python brand. Cheap $, good lite, good housings, have survived all weather conditions for year now and no fails.

Thanks for the replies. I found a few manufacturers, just can't decide how many diodes they should have in them.

I think I'm going to go with these.
