Got you topped on that, I haven't washed it since I bought it. In 2008. Gonna clean it up nice once I get back from vacation.

Yeah I noticed that. The decent priced ones have serious cancer issues with rust. I'm thinking of picking one of those up and swapping the driveline into my rust-free 2wd.

haha yeah i tend to use and abuse mine... haven't really taken it off roading yet because of some rust issues in the floor but its on the beach 4 days a week driving right by the dune posts. The 5-speed in mine isn't really bad. i drive it a little rough but if i wanted to i could drive it smoother than an auto. The thing i'm not really going to like is taking boats in and out of the boat ramp. But alot of times its cheaper to find one with 4wd and a 5-speed already in it. But it is hard to find an xj for a decent price around here period.

Not bad! Yeah I know what you mean, lots of Jeeps in the area but mostly driven by soccer moms. Hey, quick question, how do you like the 5-speed? Thinking of swapping my 2wd Auto for a 4wd 5-speed setup.
