Default Can I have 4.5 in front and have 3in ine the back?

Hey, so i currently have a jeep chin with a 3in lift it has an adjustable track bar adj upper control arms , and the fixed lower control arms with that angle . What I'm wondering I could I keep the 3in in the back and raise the front to 4.5 by only changing the shocks and coils and not needing all the other stuff such as new drive shaft

You can change the shocks and coils to get the 4.5" in the front. You do not need to change the d shaft.

But I think just lifting the front is questionable. For under 100 you can get a pair of extended shackles in the back and bring your rear up to 4.5" as well. I have a 4.5" all around and I'm on stock shafts.

People did that back in the 60s and called it Cowboy Rake, mostly on drag cars. It didn't last long before there started raising the back instead.

they did it on drag cars for weight transfer. as tire and suspension technology evolved there was no need for it any more..

This is the correct answer, I was racing then and did the same thing not to a big noticeable amount but still there on my 66 Dodge Hemi.

Sounds like the only reason to me and a complete TC with SYE can be bought from XJ Wonders for a very reasonable price ready to bolt-in.

lol. Thank you Fred. I appreciate it, it look like I may need to hire you as my salesman. Haha.

On other note, I'm rebuilding a TC tonight, if anyone's interested.
