went wheeling. Loving these long shocks. Gotta putt some hockey puck bump stops in mostly to keep the springs from falling out

Today boys and girls, I want to talk about upper control arm bushings. 1) They are a PITA to replace 2) Yes they are totally worth it if you feel like you have lost steering responsiveness, and ride comfort. No pictures where taken but Bleepin Jeep has an old video on the subject that covers it pretty well. I was able to cheat by freezing the bushing which I feel enabled me to pound the bushings in with a hammer and socket.

Thanks man. I should probably post up some failed attempts so you guys don't get the wrong idea but I figured nobody wants to watch 5 mins of me jockeying the thing back and forth to find the right line.
Anyway, Long story short I've been dealing with sloppy steering feel, wandering, and some clunkyness at low speeds. Weather it fixes it or not I think its time to ditch that crappy cast aluminium steering box spacer.
So I ordered up this:
I also order up this just for good measure:
So more coming soon with some shiny new parts to install and test out

RE and JCR never disappoint. I wasn't even expecting hardware for the steering box spacer, but there it is. Also wasn't expecting it to be painted, but its got a nice coating of a black wrinkle finish. Now to just get out in the shop with some time and get these bolted down.

Another bar in the jungle gym
Got the steering box spacer in too and I gotta say, I had allot more confidence in the old girl on the way to work.

I shout out " OH LOOK TWINS!" as a grown man cowers and slumps away from his fiat in shame.

My faith in the human race has been restored. Here I am driving the jeep down rte169 and someone is tailgating me flashing their lights like crazy asking me to pull over. Oh boy . So I'm like maybe the jeeps broken or it's somebody i know and I finally pull over. A large pie eyed bearded man runs up to my passenger window "dude I saw all your stickers on your jeep, that's awesome! Thought you might like this. " and hands me a beer. Who ever you are thank you. I hope one day I can pass it forward.
